i mean really come on, who really needs that much storage. I haven't even gotten close to filling my 270gb external hard drive. I just don't see someone needing 2tb of storage space.

no thanks. I put all my pictures on my computer anyways, that way when my 4 gb sd card fails I don't loose everything.

what about people who work as graphic designers..... photographers, architects..... micro sd isn't just for camera's.... it's just it's mainstream.

just because people are able to make do without something, doesn't mean they won't use it. I personally was a graphic designer and my computer, as well as the other 2 G4's we used at the studio were constantly filled, and we had cd after cd of burned shit.

all of our achives from past years, etc. it was the biggest bitch in the world to try and find a file, because it could be anywhere.

i'm just saying dude, u'd be suprised if u really looked into it.

actually i won't be buying one. the only sd cards i use are for my phone and my moms camera. but my phone takes a mico sd. that one is 4gb and i have about 1.5gb left.

and just because you have used all of your external hdd or you won't use that big of an sd card doesn't mean other people won't. i just got a 500gb external hdd cause i filled up my 200gb one. i now have 240gb used.. im also using 400 of my 800gb that i have built into the computer

just for shits and giggles, the avereage photographer takes about 5,000 shots at a wedding.. out of that 5, they maybe sell 100 of the best. But they still took those photo's, and need a place they can put them until they get back to there computer.

i'm to lazy to do the correct math.... but thats a hell of a lot of memory needed, and it's only for 1 job

where the hell did you get that number? 5000?? wow.

my friends, both of which free lance, don't use more then 16gigs at a wedding, shooting at raw thats 1500 pictures, I didn't used more then 300 pictures on a whole weekend to new york/phili.

i took 700-800 when i went to hawaii. that is a lot of damn pictures.

think of video production guys, all of the use digital storage now. If you need to transport video from like 90 days of shooting one small SD card would be way way easier than a few hardrives and a lot less likly to be dropped or damaged. Then DJ's would love them since they could run two computers to mix and just switch the card between them instead of filling the PC memory and having it smaple slowly
