does anyone know if it's illegal to baptize a child without both parents consent?

couple was never married, granparents on father side filed false claim with cps and over the 3 day period they had temporary custody they tried to
a) legally change there grandson's name
and b) where successful in baptizing said child

the whole situation just wrenches my stomack, but i want to know if my friend has any legal right to take action

How old is the child? That really is the childs decision. Afterall, it means nothing unless a change was made in the kid. Just because your baptized, doesn't mean your saved. A song quotes it perfectly.

That's your best bet. Go to a Catholic church and speak to the Priest.
