Wow. New TV...
I was out shopping last night for a new tv for my bedroom and ended up picking up a Samsung Series 8 (The one with the lit red frame aruond it - 50 in ) and I will tell you what... This TV puts the 52in Sony Bravia ( Z series ) I have in the living room to shame... I think Im going to end up moving the sony to my bedroom and putting the samsung out in the living room. Just thought Iwould share incase anyone is looking at TVs.

I love samsungs. They have the best quality IMO. LG is close. Sony is just too spread out to have actual quality but you pay for the name.

we have a 52" sony and a 52" samsung on display at work and i would buy the samsung over the sony surprisingly. there is some disc playing on the sony one that sony sent us and on the samsung we are playing wall-e on blu ray. it looks amazing. i wanted to see what the samsung looked like with another movie so i went and opened blue planet. probably shouldn't of since its a 69.99 dollar dvd haha. but i put one in the ps3 that was hooked up to the sony and the same one in the samsung and the samsung looked better.
good choice

samsung's no joke when it comes to lcd's. they've by far got the best perceived contrast of any tv. not sure if they went to a 10 bit screen yet. sony's had 10 bit screens for over a year now.

It came out to just over 3k. But I bought a new wallmount, cables, and a few blu-rays as well... It was on sale though for 2500.
