whats the lowest your car can be in VA?

I don't believe they can set a specific ride hight. Thats at your discresion asto where you live and the roads and such.

hmm... you're probly right. i know there is a limit as to how high you can lift a vehicle so i was just wonderin if the same was true for lowerin it

In Texas, the largest legal size tire you can run is a 49". I've seen 54"s on the road though...and wow...haha.

A lot of states have some really goofy laws as far as lifted trucks. It's pretty ridiculous.

oh yeah u can be to low in va.in southwest va that is.dunno it may just be our cops but when the 94 or 95 body style s-10 came out ,the 2 wheel drive ones the cops was pulling them over saying they was to low.and a few ppl that did lower there cars an trucks have been red tagded over here for it

there are a few guidelines nationwide as far as ride height.... you should use google. where im from from bumper MUST be a certain height, along with back, and headlights as well.

I think they measure from the center of the headlight to the ground, and it has to be a certain distance.

No vehicle shall be modified to cause the vehicle body or chassis to come in contact with the ground, expose the fuel tank to damage from collision, or cause the wheels to come in contact with the body under normal operation. No part of the original suspension system of a motor vehicle shall be disconnected to defeat the safe operation of its suspension system. However, nothing contained in this section shall prevent the installation of heavy duty equipment, including shock absorbers and overload springs. Nothing contained in this section shall prohibit the driving on a public highway of a motor vehicle with normal wear to the suspension system if such normal wear does not adversely affect the control of the vehicle.
