I'm sitting in advertising at school and they're watching the inauguration live stream on the computer on the FAR side of the room from me. I've got music playing softly and they ALL turn to me and go "Jake, could you please turn it down, were trying to watch this. So I take it from about a 7 to a 3, and guess what, they've got their computer full blast, I can barely hear my music, and they all look back at me and go Jake, come on. I look back at them and just go, no, I'm not turning my music down so I CAN'T hear it when ya'll have ya'lls computer up as loud as it will go.

Then they proceed to try to hand me head phones...



They can all go somewhere...somewhere not nice.

I'm with MSO on this one....

Even if my tuition is being payed by financial aid.... I refuse to watch the inauguration of president Obama in a freaking Psychology class of Personality.... I don't go to school to observe whats going on in political affairs, I go to get educated on what I need to learn and there is no room for politics in psych. What a waste of tax dollars. Enjoy your senseless sensationalism of a black president taking office instead of what should just be another president sworn in. Last time I checked, I'm colorblind when it comes to skin color, so I could care less. I haven't seen an inauguration ceremony in all my life, i won't make an exception now because it is expected of me....

I get it perfectly, we have a new president now and his skin happens to be a different color and that alone makes history. Seriously, I could care less if an Asian, Mexican, "fill in the blank"-American would be inaugurated today, It's the principles that the president stands for and his political plans for the future that worries me, not the color of their skin. I just don't see why we have to praise someone who still hasn't done anything yet to deserve that praise.

I agree with you on this, but it is "history in the making". Here at work they have the projector on in the board room for people to come watch. so i could be getting paid to watch that. But meh im kinda getting paid to be on MM
