Got a job

I got a job today at a collision shop as a body tech/painter. Im getting paid 10 bucks an hour to start out with and ill eventually be put on commision pay after I get situated there. It'll get me alot of money before I leave in September for the Navy!

congrats! hopefully ill be getting a second job soon, but no one is hiring

but anyways, congrats hope all works out well when your at the bodyshop. and watch out while working in a shop even if it is a body shop, respect the people you work with even if they treat you like shit, it's all a little test to see how far you will go before you shut down and quit, o and another thing, after working in a shop and body shop at the same time for 4 years, most of the guys there are bone headed about there ways and wont put up with you even if your doing the job the right way. oh and another little hint for when your working there, remember to blow your nose every once and a while so you don't get all the floating particals stuck up there for weeks on end to the point where you only smell the smell of a car baking or fresh paint or burning rubber.

Thanks Ford. But its a tiny ass shop in the back of a Dodge dealer. There is only 3 techs that work there counting me

one guy is my age too. So it should be a fun job I hope

D...remember...every body gotta start somewhere...it's not just a small job - it's an opportunity for you to learn something that you have a passion for AND you'll be getting paid for it. Don't apologize for it - be proud of yourself

welcome to the club. I work at a body shop right now. Its pretty fun and getting p aid. I think i am going to switch my major to it. But i would agree with ford, blow your nose!! lol

Seriously tho I wouldnt switch your major to that. Your already in the shop so dont major in it. I majored in it and it would be alot better and easier to find a job if I didnt major in that but in something else
