Ads

How do the ads at the top of the screen work? Are they just random? Do they cycle depending on what thread you are in and what the title of that thread is? Is it actually pre-bought space from each company? Just wondering where they generate from...

Ads by Google

Haha! So then my next question is does this really generate that much revenue?

Ok for the site guys, is it worth having these? And for the rest of you, do you actually click on them and or buy stuff from them? And I am not talking about the AM etc ads, I'm talking about the other ads for companies you never heard of.

MM is a business, you know
I personally do not use the ads. They are simply a revenue-generating source.

Im just wondering since I wouldnt think it is worth it for the companies to pay for a banner like this. Maybe it is.

Some companies do pay for that slot. Not all of our ads are Google AdSense.

Interesting. How much revenue does it generate? Thinking about getting it or signing up for it how ever you do it.

There is a lot more to making money with a Web Site than signing up for AdSense. Joe did a great job optimizing MM through search engines, and the new crew is doing a great job as well. It takes a lot of investing in a site to make it profitable down the road.
