for mine, it just bolted directly to the radiator support, had to cut out some holes in the radiator cover for the pins to sit through, and then drill the holes in the hood. Measure everything...several times, then once again before drilling. Helps to use something like nail polish or carpenter's chalk on the tip of the pin, then lightly close the hood to mark where to drill from the bottom.

same here only with a fiberglass cowl hood it just smashed the winshield to pieces. just bearley chipped the hood. it ripped the hood brackets out. really sucked.

I agree, my first cowl hood on a fox was a 4 " bolt on, and needless to say, the stock hood latch failed on me, and it blew up, cracked the windshield, damaged the roof of the car, ruined the hood, bent the cowl vent really badly, so yeah... HOOD pins, are NEEDED for any "AFTERMARKET HOOD" To each of thier own, I learned my lesson a while back, Maybe a few people need to still learn there lesson. It's a $20 dollar mod, and it takes literally 25-30 minutes to do.
