The Duramax is an Iszuzu engine FYI, and The Duramax is a far superior engine to the Powerstroke engine. The Duramax is a great engine is by far the easiest engine to get power out of.

Sorry Towlley, but I have built over a dozen 7.3 engines, and he didn't make that kind of power without swapping out a turbo, headstuds, machining the fuel bowl, bigger injectors, and upping the oil pressure.

Your right.. I didn't say he just had a Bully Dog Tuner and Propane. Bully Dog sourced all the parts and whatnot as well for him as the Bully Dog's HQ is very near his home.

IIRC, it was a larger Turbo, huge injectors, full exhaust, propane and something else on top of that that I can't put my finger on.

Izuzu! Thats what it was. My bad. I'm not up on all my Chevy stuff.

Cummins are a great engine if you like engines that make loud noises and don't move very fast. Cummins are just noisey in general. I don't even really like the sound that much anymore. I think that LLY Duramaxes sound the sexiest.

Just for the record, I have No. 2 running through my veins.

Then there is the counter to that: "I'd Rather be Stroked than Ram'd"

And dmax > cummins > powerstroke. And I'm a Ford guy.

The powerstrokes do sound the best though.
