I sold the truck in June of 07, so it's not that old. The truck was an 04.5 Chevrolet 2500HD LLY Duramax. The truck, had a ton of mods, in that pic it 16" Black Xtreme Alloys Wheels, with chrome lips. on 285/75/16 Cooper ST's those were the setup I used for pulling.
It put down 762rwhp/1586rwtq on No. 2 the truck also had a single stage nitrous kit with 200hp shot. I never did dyno tune the truck for spray, but I expected to be around 1000rwhp/1800rwtq, and to run in the 10's.

I have noticed that too..........mostly younger kids with dodges around here. They cut the stock muffler out, run a straight pipe, and cut the factory tip off and slap a monsterous tip on it...........looks like a straw running into a coffee can to me

Yeah, it doesn't do anything for me. I had a 5" exhaust and then it had a 6" stack, only because DHRA insisits that your exhaust exits either straight up or straight down.

Big stacks are gay, you still need some backpressure to make power more efficiently. Big huge exhausts are gay. I went 5" straight from the turbo, yet my turbo is massive. I was in a 3.0" turbo class.

anything over 5" pipe is rdiciulous. 6' tips are the biggest that I would run, anything else is just not proportioned to the size of the truck, and IMHO it can hurt performance.

Not to mention its butt ugly. My brothers 7.3 Power Stroke laid down 1100 ftlbs of torque with a Bully Dog setup. I think he has propane injection though too. It has 5" exhaust turbo back. I think it looks just right if not bordering on too large.
