im in southern oregon where there is not much going on, and what is going on is mostly ricers(tuners), but there are a couple of domestic cars around. anyway i joined a local forum that i thought might be sorta cool because most people were local.

here is why i need your opinion

anothe guy i work with (and i work at honda)posted my cars pic, and these guys went nutz. they were talking alot of shit. not stuff like i dont like mustangs, but crazy stuff that most people woulg get punched in the nose for. it is a small town and if i even respond i think i take the chance of somebody doing somthing stupid to my car. i think.
i know it is probably easy to just let it go, but wow they were rude. what would you do

Simply ask them what they drive and if they wanna race. Then the ball is in thier court. They can either put up or shut up.

If they are juvenile enough to talk all that junk on an internet message board then I wouldn't put it passed them to mess w/you car if they ever saw it sittin' somewhere. Sounds like kids to me, just turned 16, mom gave them a 4 banger civic, 11 stickers and one Coffee Can later they all of a sudden have something!

i agree. those remarks show their maturity level, and they seem extremely immature especially for posting it on a local forum. if your car is insured, dont worry about them messing with it. just be the bigger man and show your age. think about what you say, and say it perfectly as to leave them with no remark or a dumb remark. just watch your back for a little while

Almost no matter where you are you will have people saying trash about your car. I get that stuff too, but I've learned that when I turn the tables on them it's the biggest ricer poetry fest I have ever seen. "Oh well I'm getting it tuned this weekend so I'm not trying to to do anything." "I have an exhaust leak." or one that is becomming very popular "My car is a drift car." Everyone has words to say, but nothing to back them up. Just don't worry about it.

I misunderstood. I thought the guys you work with were talking trash. All theyre trying to be are internet badasses. I would ignore them if they are local. Hell, send them this way, Im sure we could put it right back on em. :wink

if it's just talk, let it go but everytime you see one of them on the road, hand his butt to him. Now if damage does occur to your car then I'm all for beating his ass into next week.

thanks for the input. i will let it go. i like the my car to much to take a chance, but it would be fun to have a bunch of you guys just randomly show up in there forum and destroy them

While that's a good idea, and lots of fun, cross board riots can only lead to bad things on both boards.

I wouldn't recommend we go and blitz that board as much fun as it sounds. I've seen WAY too much drama occur to many of my favorite boards because of this, as I'm sure you guys have as well.
