This could amuse you.
So, I was talking to a buddy with a '96 Cavalier...I know, great start.
He's into the whole drifting scene and the "racing" scene in general...yes...in his cavi. We'll I got bored one day and he ALWAYS listens to my car advice, except when I tell him that his car is in no way a race car. So I decided to take a different route and play along. I started to explain to him how he had two routes he could take. Either turbo the stock cavi engine if you lowered the compression, OR...put a 5.0 in it. ![]() The best part is...HE STARTED PLANNING IT! hahahaha. So he comes over the next day and pops the hood and I start "looking around" helping him plan his next move. I explained to him that he would need to buy the turbo and I went on to explain all the odds and ends he would need, and I then went on to tell him that if he decided to go with the 5.0 (which he actually liked the idea) he'd have to buy the engine and trans, along with the 8.8 rear end which he would have to custom fit to the cavi and build a custom driveshaft... ![]() He's in the planning stages. ![]() How long should I wait to tell him he's a complete idiot? haha. |

you know, I'd suggest an LS4 over a 5.0.
I mean, at least it came FWD, so there's some small chance of that actually working.
