and if imnot mistaken isnt the reticular formation part of the brain stem, not the CNS?

it controls the autonomic nervous system which is part of the cns as a whole.

that particular part controls basic function, heart rate, breathing, blinking.. ect not anything you can control with your cerebrum.

the central nervous system is your brain and spinal cord, so yes it is part of it technically. the reticular formation is part of the stem, hence it sends the incoming signals throughout the brain since the stem is at the base and all nerve signals pass through it.

I am not sure about the sex drive honestly. I would tend to think that would be more of a glandular thing, but I will look into it for sure.

it has been a little while since high school but i do believe it was mentioned it does. dont hold me to it though, high school is certainly no med school.

Like I said, I will for sure do some studying on it. I don't mind learning when it comes to the medical field. I will let you know if I find anything though.
