Could use a little help.

Alright I'm planning another tattoo for myself. This one is going to be specific for my Grandpa. I'm debating between a Coast Guard old style Navy-ish kind of tattoo since he was in the Coast Guard, or more of a Ford style tattoo since he worked for Ford for 43 years. I'm leaning more towards an old school anchor with a sash and his name in the sash, but would like to see some ideas that you guys/gals can come up with to kind of get me thinking, and hopefully more into the direction that seems right to me.

I would like to, but don't know how I would do that and have it flow well together. I'm extremely picky on tattoos which is why I haven't gotten another one yet so I want it to flow as well together as possible. Maybe I could do the anchor with the sash and like my other tattoo do some hot rod pin stripes on it somewhere. He did have a hot rod, and was born in 37, and I do love 37 ford coupes.

Just think real quick, which ment more to him his time in the Coast Gaurd or his time with Ford?

Whichever one you think it is is the one you should go with.

Ford. He loved ford. My family has a huge ford influence.

The kitchen table in my kitchen Henry Fords tax returns were done on, and he asked my great great great? Grandma to invest $1000 in the idea when he came up with the idea...she didn't do it though. My grandpa also did CAD drawing and was an engineer for Ford...without him the AOD transmission would have existed.

I know the place I'm going to, and who I'm going to have do the tattoo, so I could ask him. Just gonna try to figure out what I could do first so I atleast have as much info as I can possibly have. I was thinking of the Ford Oval with my grandpa's name in it, but I got bored of the idea so I need to think of something else.

Maybe you could have a tat of your grandpa standing beside Henry Ford in front of a Ford logo, or a 37' ford coupe? You would need someone to photoshop the pics for you, but I know my tattoo artist does great with faces. I'm sure yours could do it too, they would just need the image to scan into their machine.

I dont like portraits too much. I'm liking the idea of the anchor with the sash, and the hot rod style pinstriping though.
