Gonna start painting the top of prelude same color as wheels

Make sure that your Rustoleum top coat is the SAME type of paint as what you used to paint the color.

If its different like the grey is enamel and the Top coat is Lacquer you are in trouble

Because there is no way to paint that big of area with a rattle can & make it look good. For it to turn out good the whole hood needs to be coated while the paint is still wet. With the rattle can paint it will be dry before you can get a good even coat on it.
Been there done that

It was a 240000 mile Neon with the paint peeling off everywhere.

But it won't because that is flat paint you used & that is very forgiving to the eye. He is putting clear on his & it will not turn out good.

I undertand that but look at the "before" pics and you'll see that me doing this will look much better

Maybe since Maco does the whole car for 200 maybe they would do the top half for 100?

For the next big paint job you have & want to do it on the cheap. Go to you local boat dealer & get you some apoxy paint. It will go on with a brush & it is self leveling, so it will look like it was sprayed.
