Don't tell me you're gonna race before the 450 mile break-in.... Wait a few weeks so your clutch will set it correctly.

That'd explain why your clutch is slipping as it is...

No, centerforce recommended a 500 mile break in period for the clutch I have in her now. I drove 490 before I did any WOT.

The tuner at that shop that took my purchase told me theres no break in period on the particular clutch im getting.

So I plan to just drive around the city a couple hours that friday night, put some miles on her, and then run my friends jeep sat night.

When i pick the car up im gonna ask to have the box the clutch assembly came in and any papers that came with it. And ill see if it has a certain recommended break in period.

Actually, since im not working, ill just stay down there at the shop while they install it.

... Is this a puck style clutch? If not It has a break in period. Even if it IS a puck style, I still think it has a break in period to be honest.

You have to heat cycle it dude. Trust me. I've been down this road already. Do it right.

That truely was some of the most random shit ever.

The clip of his neighbor playing RTS games at 4 in the morning was priceless.

I just installed a new Centerforce dual friction clutch and have put about 400 miles on it before jumping on it hard. Im only makin stock power though. It only took me about a week to put those miles on it too. I shouldnt worry right?

Try to hold out longer and get closer to 500 miles on her. When I put the CF dual friction in mine, they recommended at least 500 miles of normal city/stop and go driving. I didnt go WOT through the gears until i hit 492 or something like that.

DONT DO FREEWAY MILES FOR THE BREAK IN PERIOD. Wont allow the gripping material to properly seat and conform to the flywheel surface
