that is not that good for a hudge displacement motor that GM usually cranks out. I am slightly disappointed.

+1...these numbers mean nothing until you see these cars get out to the dragstrips with good drivers.

If you put the et mph and weight in this calculator for the camaro, it comes out to be 403 fwhp. FWIW.

In 2005 and 2006 with the 3.55s it was 4.9 and 13.5. the 2007+ with its 3.31s was 5.1 and 13.8 so the numbers are whatever.

Not to start the debate, just kickin it out there.

I agree totally, we are doomed. no stang can beat flat 13s

Im pre ordered on a camaro. already bought radcamaros.com as a domain name.

parting out the stang for anyone intersted pm me.

Neither one of those times are going to be right. The fact that one traps 4 mph faster but only has 1/10th better e.t. just shows how much of a driver flaw their is. Also, the auto, which has less HP, had a better 0-60...the reason why is because driver error isn't as prominant in the auto.

I'm willing to bet the new Stang is going to get some better times than that in stock form, and I know the Camaro is going to do better. That's about the average time for a stock LS1 4th gen.

If you want a good idea as to how the new Camaro will perform than look at the LS2 GTO's. The new Camaro has almost identicle dimensions such as weight and aero, and has very similair suspension. It just makes more horsepower. Just search around and for what a full weight, full bolt-on LS2 GTO (because that is about the same power level). If you don't want to bother looking, I'll tell you that 12.6-12.8 is about what you are going to see.

Do I think the new Camaro is going to be a mid 12 second car? No, but I wouln't be a bit surprised if I see a couple of 12.6-12.7 times in a bone stock car. My educated guess (whatever that is worth....nothing) is that 12.8-13.0 at about 108-109 is going to be the average/decent time for the SS. And just like any car you are going to see the guys that can't drive worth a shit that get a 14 flat, and you are going to see guys that can row gears getting mid 12's.

My guess for the Mustang is 13.2-13.4 at around 105-106.

Yea what parts do you need? I got nothing you dont already have.

blackjac is right on this one. its over.

im done with it, its slow, cant turn, cant brake, cant go fast, isnt really comfortable to drive slow. Its got outdated equipment. its a bust really when you look at it.

people bought it because of cool comercials in the begining from ford, its a mind screw really. Lets face facts.

This camaro is gonna be sick, im thinking 10s with a cam and bolt ons, and still the ride of a cadilac. its there.

im a n/a guy anyway why am i messing with a ford mod motor, you cant make 400rwhp let alone 440 without a blower. and it cost you your first born to make any power in this thing. Shit one cam in a chevy cost you 200 bucks drop it in during lunch....its on.

Its serves me no purpose.

When you break it right down its not even that good looking really.

ON a SERIOUS note;

Its always darkcandy with the new car news. He is always first on the mustang news and camaro news.

Tipin my hat.... darkcandy has the 411 man.

I think RK really hit the nail on the head there with the performance.

I do have one serious question does the new camaro have real dual exhuast?

Its a nice looking car Ill give chevy its due for that. Well at least the concept car was sick looking.

I'll have to try out the seats. If Chevy puts some cushin in theirs they might out sell the Mustang on comfort. Does any place make different foam inserts for my 08 Mustang?
