drill weekend is over!!

it seems like i always have drill at the worst times, this weekend was amazing it was above 70 both days...and the track had its first test and tune of the season sunday but i didn't even get out of drill until 5:30

at lunch sunday i had 2 civilians come tell me i wasn't a real soldier because im in the national guard. im just a "weekend warrior" and "a waste of tax dollars". some lady told me her son was in iraq and he actually got to blow something up even though hes a paper pusher, and its a shame i'll never get to do that....how ungrateful and ignorant people are will never cease to amaze me.

on the bright side i got promoted and got an award on saturday

how was yalls weekend?...apparently i miss out on alot, coolbam has turned into the new whitefang..

Why didn't you tell those dumb fucks that there are more National Guard soldiers over seas right now on deployment than the regular Army.

I mean, i can't stand the Guard, hence why I'm going active this summer. But I would have stood up for myself instead of just listening to ignorant people run their fucking traps.

I am in the air national guard and people all the time tell me I am just a weekend warrior. Every time my girlfriend's uncle sees me he asks me "how is the weekend warrior thing going" effing annoying.

the "weekend warrior" thing is meant to be from Active duty personnel in regards to the reservists. Civilians have no right to be even coining the phrase. It is just the active branch jeering the reserve branch is all.

my LT and squad leader were there....i didn't want to make a scene in public while in uniform.

i dont dislike the guard...im just tired of sitting around instead of training..im 11b and i haven't done any hooah crap in almost a year.

Austin you didn't miss much at the track we got rained out. Paid and didn't get a chance to run it once.
