Contrary to some of the bad press,,, I use Zicam. If you start using it as soon as you feel your first simptoms, it works..at least for me. Studies have shown that there have been a few people to lose their sense of scent by using it. I never have. It works by putting zinc in your nose and sinus's where the flu and cold virus multiply. It also encourages antibodies to fight the infection. I have had good luck with it. Next time I feel the cold coming on, Im trying that nasel wash thing too. sounds like if anything, it may feel good to clean out my nose!

The Flu is defiantely running rampant through IL right now. I have seen the claims..yes, upper respiratory lasts about 2 weeks. Children with pneumonia...this is a bad one. For those of use that cannot stay in a steamy shower for 30 minutes or build a sauna, yes neti pot is physician recommended. One of my friends has used hers for years..she still got the damn flu tho. I don't have one...but I should tho. It's great for us with allergies.

I don't have any symptoms, but I haven't been doing anything but work and home the past 2 weeks. So I'm lucky Remember, wash your hands alot..I mean alot. Especially after holding those nasty grocery carts!

im hoping shots of vodka will help, if not the orange juice and vodka should

I think I'm going to try to go to work today. I've been out all week - 2 days is Detroit and 2 days here...so good will effort to make it today would be the thing to do. If only to pick up my V-day flowers and come home.

steam therapy is good for loosening up the crap in your head, but it doesn't flush the crap out like the neti pot will.

i will doing it again here shortly after my shower. I use the shower steam to loosen everything and then neti pot to clean. fun fun
