Stupid Wheel stud
I went ahead and tried to put some new rubber on the rear wheels of my 00 6er and managed to break a wheel stud. Whatever.
I'll now be doing brakes, calipers, and new wheel studs all the way around,(I'm OCD like that)come this Tuesday. I will post a good write up on how to do it yourself without getting charged $400. Parts alone cost me (- the wheel studs which shouldn't be very much) $150 give or take a few bucks. pics included as well of course. ![]() ![]()

Thanks. My nut broke my stud under the severe torque from my massive arms.

I know.. I think I helped you out when you did yours.
It's not too bad. Just time consuming. take off everything and get to the hub, hammer it out (straight), toss the new one in. use a c clamp and a deep socket to press it on, and put everything back together.. for a 2 dollar stud. lol

put some ARP 3inchers in it for when you put slicks on it... haha
i use the deep socket and some washers to press mine in... the backs are much harder than the fronts too... the diameter of the hole is slightly larger on the fronts. might take a small drill bit and go around it a few times to make it bigger... and make sure you have that Impact gun on full blast.
