For all of you guys who live in apartments.

Don't you feel good when you get a good spot?

In my complex, we dont have designated spots, so on a friday or saturday night, getting a spot at all is a miracle if you come home past 8 o'clock.

So, tonight I get home and I see this spot. Not exactly "close" to my apartment, but to me, an ideal spot is one with A. Not alot of cars in the are. B. Cars not parked close to the lines. C. Big spots.

Tonight, I got a spot on the end of the lane with about a foot and a half on each side of my car! It's beautiful. If there had been more light, I would have taken a picture. I almost felt bad for taking up such a big spot with my car. I just hate parking lots in general because I KNOW someone is going to open their door into my car.

The little things in life that bring you joy ftw!

I know EXACTLY what you mean

at my old condo the parking was retarded. I would always aim for the End spots because they were beside a planter and they are the widest spots, so I would park as close to the planter as possible and have like 3 feet of space on the other side

I had to deal with that a lot in college.. I would always try to park on the end.

The end had a spot and a half... in other words, the left side of the spot had a 3 foot area painted solid, kinda like the handicapped spots. When it was open, I would park halfway on that, and never had any problems.

Most of the time the lot was full, and I ended up parking in the back..

i hate it, i always park on a end spot next to the curb cause my truck is so damn big and expensive i don't want any of these other shitty cars to hit it. Well this new guy moved in and keep parking in my damn spot. Everyone else knows to leave that spot open for me so i don't take up so much room, but this guy keeps fuckin doing it. Its the same guy that tried to blame me for hitting his piece of shit neon.

i'm in the same boat...... but fortunately a lot of people have moved out of my complex with cars..... but this time last year that sum bitch owuld be filled, now it's only about 2/3rds filled.

i used to make my own spot, at the end of the rows, behind dumpsters where no one would park. i used to have about 5 foot of clearance on each side until the super got pissy at me about it and threatened to have my car towed in a nice way.

if u look at this picture of her covered in snow, i used to park her on the oppisitte side of those dumpsters, now i pretty much unofficially claimed the spot on the closer side of the dumpsters or a different spot asbout 6 feet away and even closer to my bedroom window. i try to park her riding the line, if not on the yellow stripes.....

Theres never an issue at my complex.

Its 1/2 mile round circle but kinda shaped like Pocono raceway.

Some spots the parking is very tight but we got about 15 cars for about 30 spots in my corner.

i could never park my car in a apartment complex parking lot. in my aread mainly because of break ins. around here most appartment complex's are filled with scum of the earth welfare collecting types that would steal from their family. but any parking lot like that that is filled with cars at night is a thieves haven. one apartment complex here of about 500 apartments has about 5-10 vadalisms a night... my friend car got hit 4 nights in a freaking row, and they still havnt caught the idiots doing it. if it was me i would be waiting in some bush's with a shotgun.

the old super here got hit like that.... he had a done up 94 accord and used to keep all his shit in it. after the 4th robbery he slept in the car one night and woke up to the dude shimmying his lock..... got out of the car and beat the piss out of the guy dominic torreto style with a craftsmen socket wrench... turned out to be some dude he knew

a month later i came home to the car being towed, and thought nothing of it. the next afternoon he came over and told us the car was stolen, at which point i brought up the flatbed..... he beat the shit out of the same guy again, found out where his car was, or what was left of his car.....

Maybe he should've finished the job. Apparently the bastard thief didn't learn his lesson.

I always make my wife park beside me and I try to park beside the big shuttle buses that never move where there is a huge spot. Every once in a while someone takes the spot and I have to park where there are no other cars. Then I wake up the next morning to have my car surrounded by them. It's really annoying.

Rags, I dig your parking style, haha. What pisses me off is when I park out in the middle of NO where and theres spots open for about 5-6 spaces around me and they park RIGHT next to me.

I dont really have an issue per se with parking here, I park in the back, there are three buildings that all park in the same small arse parking lot, fortunately though I park next to my roommate's two cars. His 88 Cougar and his Escort, right between em. THats where I parked the 06 Mustang, lots of issues with crime in this area, had a tire slashed once and thats it. The GT gets parked in one of the garages when it gets here. Well worth the extra 50 bucks for that shitty ass garage, but hey, 50 bucks a month to not have a vandalized mustang, sign me up!
