no i don't think it's more important, but i don't think it should be made illegal

but this is also coming from a guy who's not gonna pull a gun on a cop and shoot...... hell everytime i get pulled over i turn my car off and put my keys on my dash after i've already rolled down my window

i don't think a police officer has the right to search my car physically or visibially until i have done something wrong. i like my privacy and i feel it should be respected

Zip i agree with you about pretty much everything, I just hate how people on this thread jump all in peoples asses over stupid things, Wheres the sense of community? Im not going to read 8 pages of one side of an argument and not give the other side of it. The vast majority of people on here constantly berate people for stuff thats not 100% politically correct but i dont think they have the high ground they are claiming. I mean where does some one named KingChronic get off chastising some one for breaking laws?! I mean be fucking honest with yourselves... Yes cops have the right to pull you over for just about anything, but they dont, or shouldnt, have the right to selectivly enforce laws .. thats bullshit. If you have an opinion express it as such, and let everyone else do the same, dont hide behind nail hanger details and bullshit legalities.

Man the fuck up and just say "I think this" or "my opinion is this", and if some one else doesnt agree then drop it. Dont point out some two word detail in their argument and say "well thats not entirely true due to free carriage laws of 1847 blah blah blah"

So with out diving into legal minutuae and forgeting the point at hand. He felt violated because he had to subject himself to the authority of the cop, he can feel that way if he wants, and some of us can say yeah i feel that way too and this is why, then others can say i think cops are great and never do anything wrong.

But honestly most of you are claiming high ground you dont fucking have. Beat cops are a necessary evil, but i dont think anyone is going to claim they enjoy getting harassed by a cop no matter how polite he is. Go ahead and highlight the word harrassed and say "how EXACTLY did he harass him" and prove me right

He didn't have to subject himself to anything.

He broke the law.
He allowed a search.
He was not ticketed.

Exactly. How would you like it if your father was a police officer and got shot by a man behind illegal tint cause he couldn't see in the car.

When I lived in Indy almost everyone with there "pimped" out cars had like limo tint on that. Fuck I was weary parking next to them at the stop light. I would be much much more weary if I was a cop aprocing the car in a traffic stop.

Its a huge problem that can hide a lot of things. Including guns that when the cop walks up could be shot through the window without even relizing it. There is some petty laws I do not agree with but tint is one of them. Its not a good thing to offer tint that dark.

And there is other reasons also just not for the cop to be able to see inside. When you have limo tint do you have any idea how much it reduces visibility at night? Its rediculous how much it does its not even safe, Someone could be walking across the road and you wouldnt even see them and hit them

Well, Straits, I don't think KC was chastising anyone for breaking the law. He is simply saying that if you are breaking the law, however minor or major the law, and however close to or on that line you may be, don't bitch if you get pulled over.

At the end of the day, breakout got let go without a citation. Yet he made a thread titled 'I HATE cops'. This is bound to stir the pot. I'm sure breakout has admitted he shouldn't have titled it that, and should have worded it a little differently.

As for this thread itself, to be honest, it's pretty straight up and non confrontational by MM standards. Everyone has argued their points pretty directly and for the most part without getting personal.

I had fine visibility if my path of vision was lit up (as it would be on the road). The only place I ever had issues was backing up in an unlit area, as my rear lights do not project as headlights do.

I couldn't see worth a shit. My roomate had 2.5% on his blazer and it was like a black hole when you where driving in that thing. even with street lights you could just barley see out the side windows
