i did do something about it.......

the entire case was dismissed because the lawyer was able to prove the police had no reason to pull me over, thus so reason for the illegal search, and rendered all evidence and testimony insomething or otheralbe.

window tints are a bullshit ticket, and everyone knows it

i dont have problems with cops im glad their out there doing the job they do so i can live my life safetly. this whole "how dare that fucking cop give me a ticket or pull me over for breaking the law" bullshit pisses me off. dont wanna see the pretty blues? follow the fucking laws. not a hard concept.

in my field i have dealt with more cops then i can remember in all fields of law enforcement. yea some of them can be pricks sometimes thats a given. for the most part all the ones ive dealt with are really cool. they go to work every day to do everything they can to make sure you make it home safetly to your family.

do you have any clue how many cops have gotten shot becuase they couldnt see the driver or passanger of a car due to tint being too dark. theres a reason these laws exsist and well police officers take them seriously. for some reason they like to go home alive at the end of their shift weird huh?

He then asks me if I knew that I'm still legally responsible even if bought likes this. I"m like, "no, because i didn't know dealerships can sell vehicles with illegal tint on them!" He still insisted I was legally responsible. Now I'm totally perplexed at why he would ask me to step out of my vehicle for window tint. So the officer then asks me if I have any guns, illegal drugs, or anything he should know about. I tell him "no". He then asks me to open my mouth, which I oblige to. I close my mouth when instructed to. "I thought you had something in your mouth". I didn't have anything in my mouth. Then the cop asks me if I have anything illegal in my car. Of course I tell him "no". He then asks to search my vehicle. Without question I say "yes". First he asks me to pop my hatch. Before I do I wanted to let him know that it was probably locked (since my car locks itself after going a certain speed) and that if it was locked if I could go to my door to unlock it. He says "that's fine". It happened to be unlocked from sitting for some time. So it pops open without issue and the cop begins looking in my hatch. Wasn't much back there so he checks underneath where the spare tire is. He moved the cargo net (which I had no idea i had) and asked if I didn't like my cargo net. I said "no". He then told me he is going to search the rest of my vehicle. So I let him. After he found nothing (I didn't have anything illegal in vehicle) he said, "this is a nice car you have". I was thinking, "no shit, that's why I bought it," but instead said, "that's why I bought it". He then asked where I was coming from, where I was going to, and where I worked. So I answered all of his questions. He also asked me if I had been arrested, I stated yes for street racing. He asked me if I had received any tickets recently. I stated that my street racing was amended to careless driving. He asked if I payed the citation and I told him that I had and had elected the traffic school. So of course he drilled me on how many days I had and i told him 60 and that this happened february 10th. So finally he said, "since you've been cooperative I am not going to issue a citation, but you need to have the window tint removed if you don't want to receive a citation for it. You also need to renew your registration since it expires on saturday (my birthday). You are free to go". WTF!!! I was doing NOTHING wrong and got pulled over. Cops seriously need to go catch some real criminals, and not law biding citizens obeying ALL traffic laws. I'm so pissed over this!!!! And no I will NOT be removing my window tint. I've had this car since July and have no issues. This cop decided to be a dick FOR NOTHING!!!!

I understang where you are coming from. It sucks when you get pulled over for stupid shit like this but he did have every right to pull you over. Atleast he let you go though, that was pretty cool of him.

feel free to read this part. lets just assume he didnt know his tint was illegal. lets assume he thought it was 20 or above. or maybe he just wasnt aware that there was a tint law at all. IT IS HIS DUTY TO FIND OUT THE TINT LAW AND MAKE SURE THAT HIS IS LEGAL!!!!

and now he knows that the tint with the window transparency allows 13% of light to pass through, and the legal minimum is 20% of light. but yet he goes into his little immature rant at the end stateing how he's had the car since july, and IMO almost sounds like he knew his tint was below the limit and is jsut getting hassled now for it. then he goes on to say he will not be removing his ILLEGAL tint almost like he thinks he's hurting somebody but himself, then in the same fucking breath says he obey's all traffic laws.

and then lets compare them to how many people are killed because of alcahol, yet thats not illegal to consume.

See, this is where you lost me. Getting pulled over for illegal tint is not bull shit. It is a misdemeanor (not a traffic offense) in GA. Our LEO's take it very seriously for their own protection. I had an exemption from the law but still chose to remove my tint in respect for the LEO's and to reduce the hassle on me. It is a load of shit to complain about somebody protecting and serving.

+1. A ticket was not given because no useful evidence surfaced. This is how it works. If you don't like it, drive a Camry, minivan, etc. and blend in by not breaking the law.

Listen up straits. Cops are allowed to pull you over to check your tint. He had the tool for it. Breakout followed the cops requests, and then was let go without a citation.

This is not a big deal to me.

If I made an angry thread every time I got pulled over by cops that are jerks, I'd be making probably a 1/2 dozen of them a year or more. Wanna hear about how I get treated by federal motor carrier officials when I'm in the big truck sometimes?

i think it's a load of shit that our society is so corrupt and fucked up that police officers have to hide behind laws like that in order to do there job correctly and be safe.....
