Safud: MM's Resident Hadji
|
Did a little more work today. No vids as nothing has changed since the first post. This is just my concept that i've come up with recently, and will probably be trying it out and seeing if it works next weekend
![]() Its a pretty shitty drawing (did it much better on paper, but i dont have a scanner ). And yes, i know i will need to put a fuse between the battery and the switches...just didn't put them on the schematic

a friend of mine has something similar on his old farm truck. They just have that switch that you just push it to the right spot and then do something real quick and starts it up. Really interesting and cool if you dont want to worry about keys and know that no one will take your car

. I'm going to put in a couple of security measures to keep people from being able to just get in my car and flip the switches and drive off. But those will be put in place once i get everything worked out We used to start our old minivan with a screwdriver

Got a lot of stuff done today
![]() Cables i made to connect all 4 relays to one switch at the same time with a current of 12v. The other wire is basically the same thing, but it has a yellow spade connector on the end and that will be the wire to ground the relays ![]() Wires connected to ground (under the center console) ![]() Heres how the relays are connected ![]() This is where the switches will be. The on switch is already wired up as you can see. I havn't found a momentary switch that i like just yet so thats why that second hole just has the wires sticking out (12v and ground). I will be working on making a custom piece to mount them ![]() ![]() The 4 relays for the on switch. Currently only connected to 12v power and ground. all thats left is needing to connect a 12v to each one again and the other pin to the ignition cylinder.

![]() And i'd rather not make a clutch bypass...I can just see future fails (parents/siblings) happening if i were to do that

my jeep comes with a clutch bypass... its fun to see people start it up and then realize its a manual...
I think its funny to get a jump out of the drive way and be rolling already when you reengage the clutch

u can get a jump out of the driveway just by releasing the e brake and letting it roll while stepping on the clutch and cranking the car

i'm not sure you are familiar with nebraska... we don't have hills... or slopes, or anything with any kind of grade higher then 2% on it.

Alright...Got a little done tonight. Nothing really new, but i fixed up some stuff. Before i just put quick connectors on the end of the wires and hooked them up to the relays. It didn't look good, and i was worried about having shorts. So i ordered some sockets specifically for the relays im using.
![]() Soldered the wires from the 4 sockets to the switch: ![]() Did the same for the ground for the 4 relays (brown wires)...picture of them where they will stay for good ![]() Done...looks much nicer than before ![]()
