That's a lot easier. I know ya'll are doing it for the right reasons and I know a lot of people don't like giving out there full name. Also in a situation like was going down w/ the three people one shifter (sounds like a youtube vid) ya'll have all the personal info and could give it to the necessary people right? I have no prob giving my name an last initial though. Works for me. Again sorry to be a pester about it but ya'll are doing the right thing by modding it a little tighter.

could you perhaps make the selling portion of the website only viewable by the members? I don't mind putting down my info to a point, but after the sale is over and both parties are good to go,I would like to have the ability to edit out that information.
I think you guys already changed the 15 minute no-edit rule already though.

Hey that rule about the first name and last initial isn't fair! I know of only 3 people with my name in the US, so it wouldn't be hard for someone to find me

i have a question chris.

what if i want to sell some of my stuff, but i don't want to sell to anyone other than someone who's willing to pick it up? some of the rules to protect people on the internet wouldn't really apply in that situation.

like, when i gave Ed that seat or when i gave Brendan that battery box. granted, i didn't sell those things i just gave them to them. but, if i had sold them, it's not like i could have screwed them over, cause they came to my house to pick it up.

part 2 of that question. if i wanted to try and off load a few things locally, giving MMers the first shot at my stuff, do i have to post it in the classified section? or can i just go into the southeast thing and address local area guys letting them know what i have and that they are welcome to come take a look at it?

i don't see where anything like that would/could cause any problems with someone feeling like they're getting screwed.

i didn't see any of this addressed in the new rules and wanted to clear it up with you.

If they come and pick it up then thats on you and them...

We are not saying you can only use paypal...Its just what we recommend...

If you post it for sale and then make a thread saying "Giving Locals A Heads Up" and post a link to each one of the items you have for sale in the correct sections i can live with that...

ok. i just don't want to piss off any mods by not completely complying with the protocol for a FS thread when all i want to do is announce that i might be having a "garage sale" of sorts. cause anything that i sell, i'm not going to ship. it's not worth the effort and i don't really have the time (most days). unless i have something that i think will be worth shipping off due to a higher priced item or something. in which case, i'd have no problem doing what is expected of me.

thanks chris.

Just so we can keep it all the same across the board I would appreciate it if everyone would just put it down if possible...

pretty much some of the same things i was thinking about when reading this... i don't remember because it's been a couple years.. but don't you have to input most of this information when you register on the site? if that's the case then why not just have a mod access this information if there is any problem with a transaction..

one more thing.. i saw where it talks about consolidating threads.. but also it is separated into sections and we're trying to get things posted in the correct sections, so which section do you choose if you have more than one item to sell and each is of a different variety? i.e. 10lb nitrous bottle, ps3 controller, used slicks.. see what i'm saying?

No one is asked for that info when they sign in...

We dont want to be involved in the sales/buys here anyways...We just want to keep the peace...

What we are talking about is people will have a TB and a plenum for sale...Make 2 threads...Instead just put them in 1...
