Speeding Ticket

So i was on my way to school going down a road that there is never cops on. I was doing 74 and it was 55. Coming down a straight part of the road into some curves, a cop in a k9 taho came out of the corner and flipped his lights on as he passed me. I made it through the corners hoping that it wasnt for me, (i didnt know that they could pull you over for speeding using radar head on...) but it was. He came up to my car yelling to turn the car off and put my hands on the wheel. I guess he thought i was trying to run bc i kept driving right after he turned his lights on but i didnt know i had to pull right over. So anyways he wrote me up for 74 in a 55 and a warning for carless driving... it has ruined my week, especially when i found out that if i dont fight it that itll be 4 points on my licence. Being im only almost 18 im sure i will have to sell my car due to insurance. Just a shitty sintuation....

Yeah I'm looking at losing my lisence for getting pulled for a 101 in a 65 also jail time

... why are you going to school on a saturday?

plead youthful offender or w.e it is and ask for a reduction in sentencing.

No it was during the week, What will youthful offender do for me? ive seen other people say that but i dont get how to use it or what it does...

Do you have a clear record. Go to court you have to look scared and they should drop it

Yeah i had one other ticket for inproper lane (i was in a left turn lane and i got out of it when i wasnt suposed to) use but it was dropped to impeading traffic, so i guess no points and that doesnt go on my record... I wont have to look scared, i will already be terrified lol

get a public defender or just ask the judge about keeping it off of your licence. most times you can get away with driving probation some community service maybe a driving course and a fine but it will keep it off of the licenece which is worth it in the long run

Just so ya'll know, cops don't have to use radars. They can legally ticket you just by seeing you speeding. They are trained to be able to tell your speed just from sight. (a cop friend of mine told me this.)

They can't write a ticket on seeing someone speeding. No matter what your cop friend tells you it won't hold up in court.

^ to your response maybe in your area... not here, personally thats BS to me they shouldt be aloud to do that o it LOOKED like you were speeding by 10mph over .....seems like it would fall in court BUT ok whatever lol

Also my boss just got a ticket for 106 n a 65 lookin at jail time and revoked license ouch

Ask for driving school and they want put it on your record! You can go to driving school if you havent been in 2 yrs. Or ask your bout title 40! Title 40 allows you to drop one incident of your record but can only use it once in a life time!

It's not a matter of looked. It's a matter of them being trained to tell how fast a car is going.

yea thats not gona work. your innocent until "proven" guilty. a cop saying you looked like you were speeding is not proof of any kind that would be called suspision. suspision will not hold up in court with out proof
