the viper engine is a 8.3L, thats the second time you've made that mistake SI, lol.

And I agree, I like cars in general, and I wished people would stop trying to never admit they are wrong and continue their ignorance rather than just trying to learn more and just have fun. But, I guess there will always be those wanna-bes in the world, not excluding the car scene. So, all I can do is try to educate all the people that want to learn and have fun with cars, learn more myself, and just try to have fun myself.

Screw the ignorant people, they dont matter, only people who have attitudes like ours matter.

thats right, screw those "no replacement for displacement" fags (F1 engines are 2.4L) and those "jap technology is the best" ass-hats! (all that japan has over us technilogically is perfecting assembly line techniques for cars, really. Not like that doesnt make many of their cars in the past better for cheaper though, cause it does)

there is a fine line between tuning and displacement that most people can not understand.

you need both in order to have a strong motor
not either or.

a 2006 civic... 210 hp? def a tuner. but lacks on displacment.

a 2006 GT.. 300HP. A better starting point but lacks in superior tech.

what v8 need to relize is that your not going to make an assload of "safe"
power with displacment alone.

point is.. a civic will lack in displacement but they make up for it in tech.

and vise-versa for the v8's

it's they real gear heads that know how to make the two worlds meet in order for the best outcome.

fast is fast

its harder for a civic to run 10s thena gt...which makes the civic more of an achievement to run that time rather then a GT

Maybe I'm wrong for this, but I'm only a Mustang and Ford enthusiast. I don't like all other cars, and I don't feel the need to say that, expecially on a mustang enthusiast board. If it's an import with 700hp, I don't like it. If it's a Dodge or GM with 700hp, I don't like it. True Blue blood flowing here . I could care less how much work it took someone to get there 4cyl heap to make a 9sec pass. Nor do I care if someone put h/c/i on a 350 chevy (which by the way I think is the most genric motor in the world) and made an 11sec. pass. But hey that's just me, and that's why I stick to posting on mustang enthusiast boards.

I hate imports, but hey...

If you can get your import to beat my stang. More power to you. I'll respect that.

Could you explain why? I just can't understand how someone could simply hate something just because it isn't a certain brand or a certain make.

I mean, I hate bud light and coors light, but that's because it tastes like piss water to me.

There's a coherent reason there. I just want to know your coherent reason.

its called opinions over opinions.. some people are just hard headed and were brought up that way. people will always be like that until they actually drive/ride in a diff car brand. the other night i drove my gfs moms Passat, sure its a VW which ive never liked, but it drove nice, had decent power. I never would have learned to respect certaine vehicals without driving them first

Mustangs do that, some people just handle the blue injection better. You see, when you get a mustang... it's a whole new level. You don't want to ever like any other car, it's autophobia. :p

My grandpa was like that... My first car was a chevy berretta GT. I know it is a POS but that is not the heart of the story. My grandpa(before he passed) would not let me park it in his driveway when I came home on leave(which incidentally had a 51 ford 1/2 ton, a 70 torino 429 fastback and a 79 Bronco on 36's in it.)

If I really need to explain myself on this...

I never said that I hated a certain car, I said I don't like them. There is a difference there. I've driven plenty of imports and domestics, My sister has a brand new honda civic, the car drives nice, has a standard that shifts nice, I still don't like the car. My mom has a full size Mitsubishi Montero, driven that plenty of times, smooth ride, plenty of room and all that jazz, still don't like it. Rode in and drove my uncle's classic GTO, a Chrysler Cordova with a 440, My friends 25th anniversary Firebird, a former co-workers turbo Supra, many other types of cars, still don't like them. That's just how it is. No need to learn anything about any other type of car because I don't care about them. Once again that's why I stay on Mustang enthusiast boards. Really no need for any further explanation on it either. If you don't like my reasoning, oh well, I'll still sleep well tonight.

And it's not about wether or not I respect a certain car that warrants respect, that's not an issue at all. If a car can outrun me, more power to them. That doesn't mean that I have to like the car.

San Diego lost to the Patriots last night, I was pulling for the Chargers to win the superbowl this year, the Patriots won, they were the better team, does that mean that I have to like them now? No, it's called having your own opinion about a certain thing. Me, I have my opinions and I like to stick with them. That doesn't make me close minded, I learn from other people where I work every day, I have to so I can succeed in my job. But I don't sell cars, or work on cars in general, so why would I need to know about a car that I won't ever own, won't ever be interested in?

P.S. 87foxbodylx- Does calling names over the internet make you feel tough? Like maybe you are the biggest E-Badass out there? Really no need for that when someone is just giving their 2 cents on why they don't like cars that are not made by Ford, while on a MUSTANG enthusiast site.

Also, I know plenty about vehicals, and plenty more about correct spelling.

Ok, put away the defensiveness, it was just a question. No need for a hostile tone.

Anyway, say a 10 second street legal Civic blows by you in a race, and you aren't the least bit interested in how the owner achieved that goal?

Regardless of if you'll ever own one, or allow your kids to own one. You call that an opinion, but I'd call that closed mindedness.

I just want to know what brought up this hatred, and yes I will call it hatred because the opposite of liking something is hating something, for anything other than ONE brand.

Maybe I should rephrase to ask how/who/what brought up this whole hearted loyalty to only Ford, only the blue oval. Because I gotta tell ya, Ford is nowhere near the best in any category in what makes up a great vehicle. I've owned a Ford, now that I look back on it... I wish I'd gotten away from it a loong time before I did.

I just can't comprehend why you wouldn't want to know what else is out there and what it can do.
