Video Cameras?

I want to get one to record my car at the track, on the dyno, etc. I don't want to spend more than $200-350. Anyone have any advice? I really have no clue about video cameras so I don't know what I need to be looking for and what is bad, etc. Help a noob out !!

All my vid clips around here were done with a $100 camera. The details obviously not as good as more expensive ones but it does the job and is real easy to use.

Look my videos up on youtube... username fluffytherhino

Those (except for the first one where the beginning looks like shit) were done with a Sanyo Xacti (I believe that's the name). I paid $300 for it at walmart at the end of 2007 and the prices have since dropped. I have a small 2 GB flash card in it, but you can put much larger cards in it. The quality isn't too shabby, and it's small and compact.

That's a digital camera, not a video camera.
