Not here...Prices havn't dropped at all on the new edges. I've noticed that the S197's are cheaper than they were before winter

302 is a bigger motor then a 281 ...
furthermore parts for the 5.0 are cheaper to come by then the 4.6 and they are slightly easier to tool on... on top of that, if i remember correct foxes are lighter

And the 4.6 isn't a "big motor." Yes, it's a bigger motor, but by no means a big motor.

If you are really just wanting some kick in the pants power because you suddenly realized your v6 just isn't " where it's at " , then do yourself a favor and get an older gt and have a little money left over to do some modding with. Trust me on this, Once you drop the hammer inside a well maintained fox body, it will look beautiful to you!!!

Haha, I'm sorry but that body style is hideous! End of story.

![]() I would say spend less time on the interior (besides getting new seats...) and clean up that paint on the outside... looks like it needs a real good buffing, and of course new paint for the spoiler... |

Foxes are nasty in looks and speed. Its way easier and cheaper to get a fox faster than any other mustang. My dad just bought one real cheap with drag lites and fat MT's on the back. All they really need to look beastly are some big tires on the back. You can't beat the rake of a fox.
Also, my 99 gt with 42000 miles on it was only $6300.

Oh and to add to it, my 1997 v6 mustang with 115k miles on it and a minor paint flaw on the back sold for $3300. The car was immaculate except for that one flaw on the back. I felt like I got a real good price out of it.

It seems, money wise, it would be better to keep her and rebuild the motor and beef it up instead of trying to upgrade to a GT.
