I love them but I rode MX most of my life and when I got a street bike I rode it like a cross bike and got me in a lot of trouble....for the first week you will be a lil scared and cautious then comes the want to do wheelies for miles and stoppies and all of that real smart stuff. I was lucky thats it. They are fun and a gixer 600 is a great bike with plenty of power for a beginner and a great balance point for doing wheelies

Go for it. I just bought 2. Just be careful out there and buy something used. You'll probably drop your first bike. Look on craigslist for bikes and if you go to look at one make sure to bring someone that rides with you to check it out. Dirtbikes/4 wheelers and motorcycles are 2 completely different beasts.

![]() You say that now.....just wait.....also the first thing you need to buy for a bike is nylon frame rollers....they bolt to your frame so when you do drop it doing that first wheelie or rolling burnout it wont screw up your plastics.... ....saved my bike a few times and a lot of friends and they are super duper CHEAP

yeah they're called frame sliders. great investment, and along with MX once you build a lil confidence next thing you know your governor is pegged and your digital speedo is reading 160mph..... true story.

dumb riders give us a bad name. but generally its no the bike you have to worry about, its retards on the road that are constantly trying to kill you.

a sport bike is nice for sure, but a 600 is like buying a v-6 mustang, people say they want a starter bike but you get tired of having the slow bike, i've seen plenty of people start out on busas and they do just fine. but if i was you i'd buy another stang

the problem with that is that majority of people will prolly drop the first one at some point and no one wants to drop a busa. 600 is plenty safe and still gives u a good ride.
