My brothers FJ

About a month ago when he bought it, I was ripping on it. Well, I take that back. He came over tonight to pick up little J and I checked it out. I was really impressed. Lots of head room for tall people like myself, great visiblity from the drivers seat and good solid construction. I have to put my foot in my mouth because its appears to be a good truck for him.

When it comes down to it, is there really any other trail-capable rigs out there, aside from the Wrangler, that you can go buy new right now? I mean, even most of Jeeps lineup went way soft, with the Grand Cherokee going unibody and IFS, the Liberty becoming built on the uber-fail Nitro platrom, and the unspeakable others built on the same chassis as the Caliber, and Hummers are next to fail once you get them actually off-road. Maybe Land Rover? Either way, it's not a large market anymore.

too much plastic for my taste in cars.

what were they thinking when they made huge plastic tail lights that stick off the sides of the car for offroading? that is the first thing to get crushed.

LOL! Youre right! Even the mirrors are huge as hell and have lights in them. IDK, my pansy brother will never drive that car off road...unless an occasional sidewalk counts!
