Tire Shine

Does anyone else REALLY hate it when you shine your tires with Armorall or other stuff and then when you drive the car the stuff gets all over the car and leaves spots...so then you have to wipe the car down again

Who has the remedy for this?? (other than not putting stuff on your tires)

I hate tire shines that leave my tires really wet looking because they attract dust and make my tires look brown. I use interior stuff on my wheels because it makes them look good but doesn't leave that sticky residue.

I think its Meguires interior detail , or something along those lines

Let it sit for a couple hours before you drive it and it won't come off all over the car. Try to apply it when your going in to work/ school/ or the house for the night and let it soak in for a long period.

I put an s load on there so it's nice and shiny, and let it sit for 15-20 mins then go with a towel and dab off the whole outer side of the tire. And then before I go driving, I go for another round with the towel.

Works for me! I used to hate all the spots on the car

I use a foam that really doesn't leave excess, but with the liquid, I will wash it and dry it, apply the tire shine, then pull it into the garage and just let it sit for a while and go wipe the tires down with a rag. Usually doesn't fling onto the car that way.

I use Zaino tire shine, and interior. It's not oil based, and I've never had any issues with it or any residue in the interior.

Like said above, gel is the way to go. I use the eagle one tire gel in the gray bottle. Spray some on a towel or sponge and wipe it on.

I just use regular armor-all in a pump spray bottle. Spray it on the tire, then wipe it with a rag. The tire doesn't look like its been painted with clear coat, but it looks nice and black.
