going to get a new phone in a few minutes and wanted to hear some opinions. what do you personally have? would you recommend it? how about pros and cons.. thanks

i had a nokia 5310. i loved it, but unfortunately it couldn't withstand being in extreme conditions, such as a room with a humidifier running.

I'm with T-Mobile and have a Blackberry Pearl. I love the phone but it sucks when it comes to surfing the internet.

I had tmobile for 5 years. It's a good company. I didn't like their phone selection though. So I got the iphone and went with AT&T. So far, no complaints.

There's only one problem I've heard about them. Can't send or receive pic messages. I also heard they're fixing that problem in October. Is that right?

been with T-mobile since 2000. Never had a problem with them. Their phone selection, like mentioned above, is rather slim. Ive got the 8900 blackberry and love it. Customer service is great and they will always help you out. Well, at least that is my experience with them.

TM is ok. Ive had it for almost 2 years but im thinking of switching to at&t after this contract cause of signal and internet surfing

yea the 8900 is by far the best phone tmo has right now. the wing is a pile of shit, the behold is the worst phone i have ever been cursed with to use, the g1 is a google phone that looks like shit and has major battery issues, the dash is old and also junk, the 8800 is a older blackberry thats mainly for bussiness use no camera or shit like that.

Basically, I would say fuck t mobile and go with AT&T or Verizon.

I have no complaints with AT&T and their phone selection is awesome.

I wanted to go with T-Mobile *just* so I could get a G1 (i.e. google-phone), however, where I live, T-Mobile has poor G3 coverage, so they won't sell one here. My problem with iPhones is that they're INCREDIBLY proprietary - Apple even controls what apps it will and won't allow you to pay for, and they regularly kick stuff out of the app store. G1 uses Android, which is totally open and gaining popularity. Motorola has scrapped their proprietary OS in favor Android for all their new phones, and it's stout enough that it's being used on some newer netbooks.
