Who lives in Nevada, Utah or Arizona?

How do you like it? What are the pros and cons? What don't you like about living there? I'm looking at moving out that way at some point. I need to weigh all options first though. I hate Wisconsin winters. I hate waist deep snow. I hate 2 months of subzero temperatures and I hate leaves blowing in my garage all year long. I also hate my work schedule.

I was next to Arizona ( within a few hours) So I know the general climate can be very hot and dry, other then that, lots of hills, sometimes, lots of wind, and lots of open space and dust. lol It's not to bad if you can stand the heat though. Try San Diego, much cooler place to live.

I can't afford San Diego. I have a 3000+ square foot house. In Wisconsin it is a $276,000 house. In San Diego it is a $2,760,000 house. Lol! Just a little bit out of my price range. San Diego has the nicest weather year round though. I'd love to live there but like I said, I can't afford it. I hate California too. Too many "rules".

Heat doesn't bother me. Cold does. I'm a pussy.

I LOVE Vegas. I'm originally from NY. It's cold and shitty up there. I've also lived in TX, MS, and AL. So far, the desert has the best climate. It's dry, hot as hell in the summer. We have semi cold winters... but nowhere near as bad as up north.

Not bad at all. I've found alot of nice stuff out west. Especially in the Las Vegas area. Real cheap in Vegas. Lots of forclosures. Finding a house won't be a problem. I just want to weigh the pros against the cons. I've been out west more times than I can count. Just got back from Las Vegas actually. But I also realize that every place is a nice place to visit and living there can be a totally different story which is why I'm asking for some input. Hell, even Wisconsin is a nice place to visit/vacation.

I love Vegas too. How long have you lived there? Is the car crowd pretty diverse or does it lean more to ricers or Camaros or Mustangs, etc?

The winter here sucks unless you like to ski or snowmobile. Snomobiling is bigger in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan than anywhere else in the country. Alot of big name manufacturers for snowmobile parts and accessories are in Wisconsin. Its also flat as hell on the eastern part of the state all the way up to the fox valley. Get out of that area and Wisconsin has some nice terrain. But I'm still sick of living here.

I couldn't stand the living there, too cold for me. Az will be very hot in the Summer months, as far as the cars though, they are for the most part into trucks and your regular mustangs and camaro's. You have your fair share of rice, but it won't be nearly as bad as San Diego. A good thing about AZ is the smog laws are loose.

Denver is about perfect (well the outskirts)

mild winters, mild summers, not much rain, but we can get a good share of snow

There's a big mix in the cars... I occasionally have a ricer fly by, but for the most part, those sons of bitches leave me alone. I do believe there are more ricers... oddly enough I see more corvettes than I do Mustangs or Mulletmobiles.

I was stationed here for 8 years, then I ended up in Alabama for 3 years. I moved back here in October... There's a lot to do out here. The food is amazing, everything is just effing awesome. I'm so glad I moved back.

Same thing here. I love the town I live in. Just the right size and a big city is right next door. But god damn do I hate the winter. The 80-90% humidity from May to September isn't too pleasant either.
