I don't need to be eating a $15 meal ever single day, I can go home and make some killer burgers for under $5

there are just little things here and there that I don't need to spend money on... and for me luxury items are one thing i don't need.

Also, having a goal makes things much easier to save for... it helped me. I put a picture of emays car on my wall and a little saved up bar to keep me motivated.

You know my paypal...go ahead!

Piggy does work if you leave it alone. I used it to save to $450 a while back. It worked and was easy.

ive had a problem saving money for a looooooong time...ive tried everthing and I somehow always find something i need to spend my money on. The best thing that has worked for me so far ( just started this 4 months ago) is when I get paid immediately take out a 100 bucks and put in a seperate savings account that I can not withdraw with my debit card. Im doing this until I have 1k to open a CD.

I used it with no problems. Its FDIC and secure. I didnt find it on my own, a old coworker told me about it and really liked the results as well. 3.05% is pretty good for a savings account.

Well, working two jobs here's how I'm going to roll...

I got Direct Deposit from Tom Wahl's going into the Bank of Castile. Which is fine because they automatically take them money out of my account to make my payment.

Sine when I leave for college there is no Bank of Castile on campus, and HSBC offers better rates, I'm making the pay from my new job get directly deposited into 2 separate accounts at HSBC. I dont know If I want to go 50-50 or 75-25 or what, but the one account will be spending money, and the other will be straight up "savings".

Step CD's wrok great.

Get a 3 month, 6 month and 12 month. Then keep re-newing them. Then you always have money available quarterly if needed in an emergency.

Step Up Your Income With A CD Ladder

My lazy ass is to lazy to write it up. This describes it. Google "ladder cash deposits or step cash deposits" and there is a shit load of info and rates.

y'all realize that smartypig yields more then CDs do right??

CD's don't make shit on the dollar... 2% is about the high in the current economy... for a 6 month cd.

you would be better off investing it into the stock market in companies that don't have any signs of tanking at all... such as youngish energy companies and shit like that...
