so i called my manager at Sam's Club today to talk about working over the summer again. he tells me that they are remodeling the store and won't have the sales to hire anyone. im screwed. so much for a car. im gonna put in an application for Costco and hopefully i get hired. its gonna suck to go from making almost $10 an hour to making $7

Why not get a job as a general laborer for a construction company or something. $14/hour - 40 hours/week - always be off at 5 everyday ( no working nights FTMFW! )...

he has a good idea though.. pay is good, hours are long and hard, and most places pay you under the table..

I would work inside. i was a sales associate at sams club, and the same job at costco make 11-12 an hour. but if i have to i will. won't be able to do anything else than change a tire and the oil. don't know much about cars

Do constuction companies hire like summer help? Being 18 and leaving for school in the fall that sounds pretty damn good 14/hr 40/wk but I dont have any experience and as I said. I'm in school in the fall.

Construction companies love summer help... With summer help they dont have to worry about benefits or anything. They would probably put you to work cleaning up drywall, moving mortor around for the brick guys, ect... Good tan, good excersize, good hours...

I need to find a job like this... I'm tired of retail... lol

plus it would be nice having a 9-5 weekday only job, I hate closing hours with retail, and hate closing hours even more on the weekends

you would be a laborer aka not learning a trade or a tradesman so one you would get the grunt and shit work so no you dont need experience or brains you just lift stuff and clean up for 9 bucks an hour i did this at one point its not that bad though
