does anyone know anything about it?

i hear it looks more like it was 30 years ago with less "flash"

i never rolled on paint.... but, you can roll on high build primer when you are doing bodywork.. i've rolled on the high build & it's pretty nice, no overspray!

you can do it but its gonna take a hella lot of sanding to get it even and to look good...ive seen a guy spray paint his car wet sanding it in between coats and it came out good

I have seen it done...

With the right prep it looks good...Kinda retro like ratt rods...
