Thoughts and Prayers for a Team Mate

Just wanted to get a few prayers for a team mate of mine on my over 30 soccer team. David was carted off in an ambulance yesterday during our game.

He went through surgery last night to fix a broken tibia, fibula and a dislocated ankle.

Prayers...you got it. Thats alot of broken bones. What the hell happened? Infection is the risk now.

two hundred pounds on just his toe after he got bumped running with the ball. it was pretty nasty looking.

Dude that sucks. We had a guy snapp his ankle clean thru last session. Prayers are w/ him.

two screws in his ankle, reset the leg bones and fixed a little nerve damage.

things are looking good, but we just have to wait now and see how it goes.

Man that really sucks. Will he be able to play after everything is healed? I'm not over 30, but if you need someone to fill in I will

oh, I did the same thing to my ankle, Broke my fibula in 4 spots, and broke my Tibia in one spot, and had a dislocated ankle. 3.5 years later it STILL Hurts like hell. I have plates and screws in there, hopefully he got to avoid that route. as playing soccer again my be quite painful.

yeah, its unlikely unless it was a compound fracture, or if he had surgery, I convinced myself several times my leg was infected because it was so painful, and I had a fever but the doctor said I was fine. haha. but I am one of "those" people. that loves to convince themselves they are going to die.
