I'd punch something but I'm too tired


changed wheels for autocross class tomorrow, changed my oil, go to turn the car on afterwards to be sure everything is running smoothly *click click click* all the lights go out. FUCK! k, dead battery, go get a new one, put it in, lights come back on, go to start the car, no clicking even, just dead. Check batteries with voltmeter my roommate happened to have (shoulda checked that one before buying a f'n battery!) both batteries are fine, showing full voltage. FUCK! but wait, the car didn't start up at all, so the alternator can't be bad, it clicked the first time, so the starter can't be bad...wtf? Follow the live wire from the trunk up to the engine, check the connections, relays, etc, nope all fine. Check the ground out of the trunk, apparently it's attached to one of the bolts holding the exhaust hangers on and has corroded a bit, enough I can't even untighten it. Smack it a few times with a BFW (big fuckin wrench) knock all the crap of. Voila, car starts up fine. Spends another hour reinstalling the battery box, can't line the damn screws up through the carpeting, finally get it all done at 2:30am for my autocross class at 7:30am. FML

Dude, that sucks!!! At least you had a good time yesterday...I had to work and still have one rotor to get off via a BFH.
