That is still speculation from Ford of austrilai. although i do beleive they will bring it aback this is nothing new

Well it'd make sense if they did, dodge and chevy are seriously showing em up in the pony car race. If they produced it, i think mustang will surpass them both. Mustang already has a way larger market, but this would put em over the top.

well the new mustang runs with dodge at the track no problem, and isnt to far behind the camaro. This new 5.0 has been in the works for a long time now. There was talk about this engine when the 2010 mustang talk started. I am just glad they are putting it in the mustang and not keeping it just for the trucks.

As much as it pains me to say it, if they drop the EcoBoost V6 in a Mustang that weighs under 3500 lbs, I'd give a long thought towards trading in the Cobra on it.

Doesn't need to, the AVERAGE fuel economy for all Fords needs to meet or exceed the 33mpg or whatever the new CAFE standard is. However, I'm not sure how that average is calculated, whether it's by taking one of each model they make, or if the sales of each model somehow contributes.

For example, if Ford only sold three cars:

Mustang GT - 20mpg, 10k cars sold.
Focus -40 mpg, 100k cars sold
F-150 - 10mpg, 50k cars sold

Would the average be 23.3mpg, or would it be 29.4mpg?
