In the mountains within reasonable driving distance of a decent sized city (100,000+)

Well, I grew up in the city, but I like the country as well.

I think when you're single and have a good job, the city is the place to be.

Once you're older and have a family, country wins.

I've grown up in the country in a hick ass town. I lived in Orlando for like a year too.

Country
Pros-get away with alot of shit, like driving home drunk I know I know, and going through the judges yard who live like 100 yards away, street race the cops because they are my buddies, jump railroad crossings, street racing in the HS parking lot, Doing donuts in the HS parking lot,all kinda stupid shit. Also it's quiet, peaceful, and if you're an outdoorsman it's awesome.

Cons- Gets boring as shit sometimes now that my high school days are over and people are getting distant. Everybody knows everything about you, sometimes b4 you do. I got pulled over once and had 3 phone calls asking why I was pulled over b4 I was even let go, not a whole lot of oppurtunities to succeed unless you want to be a shitkicker/oil field trash.

City
Pros- FEMALES, BARS, FEMALES, malls where there are FEMALES. Just so much more social shit to do

Cons-Traffic, douche cakes everywhere, can't randomly shoot guns, Damn I can't think of alot of pros or cons for the city.

More rural, maybe a small town of less then 10,000.

Within an hour-ish driving distance.

Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers Metropolitan Area - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia this is where i live

its weird, kinda both. 400,000 people, so its pretty small. but its big for where it is if that makes sense lol

sweet2kstang lives here, maybe he can help me out in describing it.

i prefer city because of the social oppurtunities and ammenities.

Actually it makes total sense. I actually live in a town called Caldwell which has only 3500 people, but work in College station which has like 65,000 I think. It's a combo of city and country, really leaning way more towards the country side. The cool thing about College Station is it has a major university there, Texas A&M, which brings, you guessed it, BITCHES. There's also a Jr. College that I go to which also has plenty of women, so it's not too bad.

If I want city I can drive an hour south and be in Houston, an hour west and be in austin, 2 hrs north and be in Dallas.

college towns FTMFW!!!

Fayetteville is full of hot chicks, home of the university of arkansas. a short drive for me.

im kinda in the same way as far as having big cities around me. tulsa, KC, Little Rock. I love KC, its a cool city. dallas is like a 5-6 hour drive from where i am.

Well I grew up in the country in a small ass rural town in Michigan, about an hour and half north of Detroit. It was nice, because all of the nice malls were within 2 hours. Actually you're within everything you need in 2 hours time.

I love the peaceful, quiet, crime free, friendly atmosphere of the country.

I have lived in the city as well. I spent 4 years in a college town, and 2.5 years in North Carolina. 2 years of that time in Raleigh,NC which was cool, because I could go street race my car at night. (new to me) and that I didn't have to drive on a dirt road. Slowly, but surely the big city life started to wear down on me, I began to ahte the traffic, crime, and rude people. I got to the point where I wouldn't go out, because I didn't fit in with the crowd. I needed to retrace my roots. ThenI moved to a small town north of Charlotte, and I loved it. It was not in the country, but you only had to drive 5 minutes out of town to get to the country.

The ending result was me moving back to MI, where I started, andf I have never been happier. I'll raise my children in this town.

Big cities can kiss my ass...give me a small town where you can go fishin, shoot your guns on your property and have a bonfire party!!!!

I travel to most of the big cities from Orlando and north in FL (Tally, Jacksonville, Tampa etc..) and they just dont appeal to me. I lived in Tampa for 4.5 years when I went to USF and after the first year it sucked.
