Wouldn't you know it..i get a new bumper on, fresh coat of was and a good 3 day detail....bam guy runs a stop sign and kills my baby. Think it'll be totaled? he hit it hard but i drove away. Going to the shop tmrw and getting a quote.

lol he was old..and very calm says he swears this is the first wreck thats ever been his fault. I Fucking flipped a lid until i saw him. Im 6'1" 220 and he was like 5 foot tall and kinda funny looking. That Calmed me down enough to take his info. Im Praying the shop says its more to repair then its worth..then might be able to get a cobra =p

Dude go by a rear quarter, door, rim and scoop. You can get all parts for under a grand. Paint them the complete job shouldn't be more than 2 grand. Now that's probably half the value of the car (I don't know your mileage). But 7 grand is retarded, this is why so many cars get wrecked and abandoned.

this is the best thing that could happen... you get a settlement, and either repair the car (or not) and have a free extra vehicle to drive when your cobra is in the shop or whatnot

First off, sorry to hear and see this. I think the shop over bid that estimate - I've seen far worse damage come in cheaper.

Insurance company tell you what the total payout to you will be yet? I'm certain they will send an adjuster to view the car and question the 6800 the shop claims.

Get all your ducks in a row in terms of cars worth, his insurance company will likely low ball and try to get you to take less than cars worth.

Well insurance adjuster said 5100, but hes estimating using salvage parts.., im going to get more estimates today.It really doesn't matter cause it should be totaled, but im going to see anyway. Theres no way there going to pay that much , just waiting on them to call me now. Gonna let my dad talk to them since hes done this before. Hoping it will be reasonable offer, then i might be able to talk my dad into letting me take out a loan for a cobra lol.

I know what i think the cars worth, which isn't much..but i did baby it for the most part and almost everything is perfect. I think the only thing wrong is a scratch on the windshield from a wiper blade.

Best situation they pay me the small estimate, or part of it and i get it fixed somewhere for like 1k and sell the damn thing. Maybe im kinda confused on the process. Thanks guys
