FML!

So today was a pretty shitty day to say the least. A while ago when i made an exhaust video i realized my car was whining when my foot wasn't on the clutch ...obviously it was the TOB (TOB is Throw Out Bearing ). Well 2 days ago my car started to make a really loud rattle and i couldn't hear the whine anymore so i figured the problem escalated.

I figured since i have to pull the tranny to change the TOB i might as well change out the whole clutch. So we drop the tranny, change the clutch, put tranny up and job is done! Or so we thought . Now the car doesn't start. It gets power, but teh starter doesn't go. so the following 2 hours we are searching for the problem as to why this is (we even dropped the starter and made sure it was connected good). In the end the problem was my shitty pushbutton that i'm using in my keyless starter project (guess it got tired of transfering a full 12v )

Now we are happy....time to start the car . We start the car up and all cheer for joy. Once we get quiet we hear it....the same fuckin rattle we changed the whole clutch to fix

So here I am now...new clutch (only part im partially excited about even though it took away from my modding money ), interior ripped half to hell and the noise is still here.
Good news is i now know the problem....there is something in my cats that is bouncing around causing the rattle. So instead of fixing that i'll just wait it off a little while till i make the switch to LT's

Sorry to hear you went through the trouble... same thing happened to me when my timing problems started. Sounded like the TOB... was a chirping sound at first and then it started to make a rattling sound. It sounded like it was coming from under the car. The noise was traveling through the headers which gave it the appearance of being under the car. IMO, take your midpipe off and start the car and listen for the sound just in case. Your problem sounds a lot like what mine was. If it is the same thing, you don't want to continue driving it until it's fixed.

Wasn't your problem with the timing chain or something? I can't remember but i thought thats what it was (too long ago to remember lol). We used a hose and stuck it to the cats to listen in and we are sure thats the problem

Yeah, one of the guide rails broke.

If the hose thing works... try putting it up to the timing cover in a couple spots as well
