86 Ranger
Picked it up for 600 bones. Runs good. Thought it'd be a nice project plus I need something to get around in the Iowa winter. The mach isn't really suitable for winter driving here. Just wondering if anyone knew of some mods that can be done.

you can beat on them forever. you could give it a couple inch rise and throw some meat on it. that would help in the winter.

My buddy used to have a 2wd 86 ranger extended cab with the 2.9. We used to get it up to about 55 and jump the railroad crossing. There would be like 5 feet of daylight under all 4 tires. He finally killed it, but man did that thing take a beating

Yeah it runs pretty good still. I just looking to do some minor mods. Maybe a small lift and meaty tires and it needs new exhaust. Headers are expensive so I'm just going from the mid pipe.

rockin some trails in mine...nothing crazy, but then again it is a 2wd with an open diff and 4.10's. the all general grabber at2's go on tomorrow, and a true trac diff is sitting in the garage to go in it.
