Castrol is cheap synthetic if you know what you are looking for. It is classified as a group III hydrogenated synthetic compound oil. That is the reason it is the cheaper of synthetic oils. Mobil and I think Pennzoil along with a few others are good synthetics that are classified under group IV. These are synthetic oils made from mineral oil and monomolecular oils calls POA. The really high quality synthetics are stuff like Royal Purple and Redline oils which are group V. Non-mineral sources such as alcohol and corn considered diesters. Just because it is synthetic does not mean it is all the same.

I have NEVER EVER paid anyone to change my oil nore did anyone eles change my oil for me.....if you want it done right do it your self sorta thing....lol

i change my own oil.. i'm not gonna let some grubby 16 year old even touch my car much less drive it into a bay with a big hole in the floor!

& go w/ royal purple & a k&n oil filter..

royal purple isn't that expensive! at pepboys i get it for the same price as mobil1 synthetic...

i'd rather pay a little extra at an oil change for the best stuff you can get...
