hmm.. i've never hit 80 in my GT. The highest speed i've ever driven in the GT was around 73-75 mph on the freeway. No joke, people don't believe that i'm a slow driver and that i don't beat the shit out of my car (minus some small burnouts and WOT till speed limit sessions). I don't know why. I guess they think that ALL 17 year olds with somewhat "quick" cars drive fast.

It's been about 3 or 4 days since i got the 4.10's installed and i still have yet to fully "test" them out. Honestly if i get a speeding ticket or a ticket for any traffic violation my insurance would skyrocket and i'd probably have to sell the GT since i couldn't afford it then. I guess i need a GOOD radar detector, like a valentine V1 or an escort.

Honestly if i got a civic as my first car, i would beat the shit out of it and drive like a maniac b/c i wouldn't worry about gas mileage and/or breaking anything and getting speeding tickets, as my insurance is already $123 a month. What's yours?

Damn thats crazy. As soon as i got it on the highway for the first time i went to 100 before i hit my exit.
But like i said before...I havn't gone past 5k yet

surprisingly not at all...I was expecting it to take a little bit to get use to the much shorter travel compared to the one in the sixxer, but it was an easy transition.
I'd say the hardest thing to get use to was the clutch, but after 2-3 stop lights i got it down

You damn rich irani's! You can actually afford high insurance and don't have to worry about speeding tickets!

and i havent been to the track yet. I'm gonna wait till i get the car lowered with new shocks, then fill up with premium and swap to 93 performance tune, then leave about half tank for less weight, get some nitto 555 extreme's (streetable version), and then hit the track.

oh and Safi, how does the IRS in the cobra feel?

Gimme a ride, i'm a huge fan of the IRS

I actually havn't gotten any tickets

Man...I'm fuckin loving the IRS. I always hear about people swapping it out for SRA's just for a better track setup. I personally wont be ditching it just so i have a better track setup. If this was a dedicated track car then yes, but since its not im keeping it....The ride is SOOOO smooth. Theres a bump that i go over every day and in the cobra i hardly noticed it at all

Yeah i'd love to trade my SRA for an IRS. I'm honestly more of a twisty track fan than a straight liner. I'd rather have a car that can do both strip and twisties if i could. Apparently griggs racing thinks that the SRA is a better twisty fighter than an IRS with some modifications, and since the IRS was put in a car made for a SRA, and i believe them after seeing their cars, but i'd still want to experience an IRS.

Eh maybe the IRS in its stock form a fully built SRA would be better. But im damn sure that if you beefed up the IRS it would kill the SRA.
Either way...It makes the ride on streets great. Power + a real smooth ride = all i want so it'll be staying
