EDIT: It says he was hit in the head from the plan landing. I guess he got a concussion and fell asleep?

Yea I'm thinking it was something from that hit on the head. It happens all the time. Someone hits there head thinks, hell I'm ok it didn't even hurt that bad, then they never wake up.

doesn't seem like it was the hit on the head that did it, but then again, like winnie said, it is possible because people DO think they are ok. i witnessed a car wreck once. the old guy who owned the corner store at the intersection next to my house was pulling into the road and he got t-boned. he said he hit his head on the steering wheel. we waited around for the police to come. he was standing there next to his suburban with the door open, filling out paperwork. he dropped the clipboard, kinda trotted off into the woods (about 70 feet or so from where he was standing) and fell over dead. he seemed completely fine after the wreck though.
