a little closer
since my step dad has been dragging his feet with my car i decided to take the supercharger off myself. i got the actual supercharger off an the air filter and all that. just need to take out the injectors and take out the ac line and i think im done. then the motor and trans will be pulled

a/c line shouldnt have to be disconnected...its a closed system, just drop the compressor and support it.
Do yourself a favor before ripping into this project...get a haynes or chiltons manual and follow the steps. |

i have to take it off because it's going with the s/c kit. for 99-01 v6 mustangs you have to chop up the oem ac line and put it back together a certain way for the supercharger to fit. im pretty sure i have one of those manuals for it. i think my step dad bought it a couple years ago. he will be helping me taking out the engine and transmission and he is a haynes manual himself haha

i have the injectors out now. i decided to just keep digging into it to see what exactly failed in my engine. i think i found it, the only thing keeping me from looking under the lower intake is a stupid clamp that i can't get to. but what i did find is a lot of metal in the lower intake where piston 1? is. i also found dirt in my throttle body

i had a crappy launch, but was quickly gaining on the new GT that i was racing. i crossed the finish line (literally, the light went on) and everything just shut off.

no not yet. im just working my way down, just have a little hang up. i should be able to see inside the engine tomorrow.
when we drained the oil there was 5 quarts of oil and about 6 quarts of anitfreeze lol. oh and some chunks of metal came out |

it would make a hell of a lot of noises before it shut off, and the car would lock up (until you threw it in nuetral or pushed in the clutch). Thats why I was confused when you said it just shut off.

I was at the track once, and this guy we were with was in his (I think) 93 Fox and he launched but went nowhere.
He had an Auto and no rev limiter, He revved it up, and when the lights changed he got on it, but instead he just threw a rod and it went through the oil pan. It was a mess. Oil Everywhere. He SAID it was like a 9 second car, His family had a lot of money I guess and it was a really expensive N/A engine. I think I have a video of this somewhere actually

everytime i passed the finish line i would put the clutch in and start slowing down. so right when it shut off i had the clutch pushed in because i crossed the line

ok so while the clutch was pushed in, the engine just died? Or did it make any noises? Was it able to crank after it died?
