USB cable search...

Kids lost the USB for the camera...or we left it in TN. Either way, I need a new one. I thought it would be easy to find online but its not. The Nikon site sucks and has everything else for every other camera. I understand this camera is a model sold for less than $100 so thats why they dont support it much. Anyway, anyone have an idea where to look?

Nikon Coolpix, S202

The USB has a really tiny end for the camera. Its the smallest one Ive ever seen which probably makes it rare.

JA, is it like a "mini-usb" on one end and then regular usb on the other?

Like this?

Yes! One end for a common computer port and the other is real small. I have a few of the kind with the bigger ends...like the size that fits into my blackberry but this one is even smaller than that. Same shape, but about half the size on the end that fits into the camera.

you should be able to pick it up at a radio shack or computer store its called a fire wire i believe. its a pretty common cable I am betting almost any electronics store will have it if you take your camera. I have the same one and was able to find it very easy and I am in Mexico...lol

If it's really small it sounds like a micro USB cord. I don't have a blackberry but my phone takes a micro and not a mini.

Thanks..thats what I'll do. In fact, the last time I was at the dollar store, I swore I seen small USB cables like this. That would be cool if they had it for a buck.

Seems like they'd work together considering they seem like s200 and s202 are within the same category.

The best place to find one, is go out and buy the camera, take the cord out of the box, repackage everything, then return the camera for a refund.

Yes, but I never used one on that camera because it had enough internal memory for the small amount of pictures I take.
