You are gonna get points for touchdowns, offensive yards, catches of the players on your "team." You'll have a quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, a tight end a kicker and a defense. The defense will subtract points if they suck and give up yards.

Every league is different and they seem to change each year as well. ESPN is pretty flexible and allows reserve players. These you pick up and use when your primary players have a bye week. You also want to look at weekly match ups. For instance if you have the option of using 3 wide receivers against a team that is good at stopping the run, that's how you play the week. Vice versa if you have 2 defenses, pick the one that is not playing the Pats or the Colts.
